About Bengaluru North University
Bengaluru North University (BNU) was established in 2017 by the Government of Karnataka through the Karnataka State Universities (Amendment) Act, 2015. The university was created by trifurcating the erstwhile Bangalore University, along with Bengaluru Central University (BCU). BNU is located at Sri Devaraj Urs Extension, Tamaka, Kolar district, Karnataka and currently operates from a temporary campus at Karnataka State Open University. A permanent campus is planned at Amaravathi Village, Chickballapur district.
